If possible all of the required equipment will belong to the worker. RESCUE PLAN Access to SYT Truss In the event of a rescue being needed two competent people will be needed. One will be needed to lower the truss to the ground. The other will be needed to clear the area underneath the truss and to call the emergency services if required. Work should never be carried out on the truss if you are alone. The duty First Aider at SYT must be alerted if the crew person being rescued has been injured. The Truss should be lowered quickly but safely paying attention to the Risk Assessment on operation of the Chain Hoists Only a competent person can lower the truss in the event of the rescue plan being implemented.
