Brigadoon 2016

The show Brigadoon. This effect was created using rice that was dropped from the catwalks and went through a grate that was part of the set.

Spring Awakening 2018

Overview

This project was taken on by Yesha Subotincic West for the show Spring Awakening. There was a truck of Victorian style lockers that was intended to be used to mimic a shower effect when the doors are opened. The effect was cut during tech due to the sight lines.

Equipment

We ended up just needing 3 corners, the 2 reducers and 1 non return valve. This was partly due to the difference in build of the truck from the drawing and also not having worked with pipe before.

Build

Shower head in place. Hello!

Pump and reducer attached to fit SpeedFit. Extra pipe had to be added. It was jammed it and made to fit with a little gentle persuasion.

Lot 'o SpeedFit pipe.

Homemade grommets/fairleads from builders band that held the pipe to the truck.

Switch wired up. That was the on/off control for the shower.

Water in bucket for test. This was as far as we got. The base of the truck would have been painted with a waterproof gooey paint. Link here Yesha.
