Nicolette Molnar
Nicolette Molnár - Director
Nicolette was educated at Barnard College, Columbia University, New York before studying directing under the late Götz Friedrich at the Hochschüle für Musik und darstellende Kunst, in Hamburg, Germany. She was a Staff Director with English National Opera from 1987 until 1994 and regularly directed the Apprentice Artist Scenes at the Santa Fe Opera from 1996 until 2005. In January 2006, she was appointed the position of the Andrew F. Mellon Arts and Knowledge Fellow for the winter term at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Future engagements include Dialogues des Carmélites at the Utah Opera. Her past productions include Don Giovanni (Utah Opera), Carmen (Portland Opera), Michael Daugherty’s Jackie O, the world premieres of The Dreamy Kid and De Organizer by James P.
