Maria Kozlova

Russian-born Maria Kozlova came to Glasgow after graduating in 2005 from the St Petersburg conservatoire in choral conducting with distinction. Whilst still in St Petersburg, Maria auditioned for the RSAMD to enter the preliminary opera studies course. After two years, she won a coveted place in their Alexander Gibson Opera School. Maria is the winner of the Tony and Tania Webster prize for Russian Song (RSAMD, April 2007) and the Dewar Arts Awards (May 2007) which helped fund her fi rst year of the Opera Course. Future engagements for Maria include Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle (Glasgow, March 2008) and Bach’s Mass in B Minor (Glasgow, March 2008).
