Andrew, 22, is in his final year of undergraduate at the RSAMD, Glasgow, studying with Peter Wilson. Recent operatic roles include Alchemist in Candide at the Edinburgh Festival, Pong in Turandot with Dorset Opera, Serano in La Donna Del Lago with Garsington Opera, the Mayor in Albert Herring with the RSAMD and Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni with Fife Opera. Andrew has sung Handel’s Messiah as a guest soloist in Berlin, Potsdam, Bratislava, Budapest, Vienna and Egge. Other Oratorio highlights include Elgar’s The Apostles at the University of Glasgow, Puccini’s Missa di Gloria and Mozart’s Coronation Mass in Ravensburg. Whilst studying at the RSAMD Andrew has won the Florence Veitch Prize for Oratorio in 2007 and recently the Frank Spedding Lieder competition 2008.

Future engagements include Apollo in Vivaldi’s L’incoronazione di Dario at Garsington Opera and Raoul de St. Brioche in Scottish Opera Go Round’s production of The Merry Widow in September 2008. Andrew will then continue his studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London on their Postgraduate course.
