Pinned and plated
Pinned and plated flats are usually covered in 4mm or 6mm ply but can be canvassed. Canvas can be applied on top of the ply covering to cover any seams and fixings or at the designers request. These are generaly cheaper and faster to construct than mortise and tenon flats.
