Backround:
Dylan has been interested in the technical aspects of theatre from an early age having grown up with his Mother working as a theatre producer and director. He had heavy involvement in Brighton Fringe from 2008 onwards. Often volunteering, Dylan got to know many people working behind the scenes in Brighton fringe venues. He quickly formed a strong relationship with Otherplace Productions, a rebellious theatre company producing a huge amount of new theatre as well as receiving touring shows from all over the UK. The company grew in size and operation from 2010 and Dylan worked with them on a number of projects whilst developing skills and making contracts. In November of 2012, Dylan applied for the Technical theatre arts course at the Brit School for Performing arts and Technology. Part of his application included a very positive written reference from James Turnbull, the head of Otherplace productions. This is considered to be a strong factor in the success of the application. Dylan Studied at Brit for two years learning huge amount from the staff and external visitors brought it. The course allowed access to a huge amount of professional lighting and sound equipment. Dylan also spent a week working at LeeFest in Kent as part of the course. He graduated in June of 2015 at which time he relocated to Scotland. After working for a small Orkney based production company and working as a small scale free lance lighting engineer for a year, Dylan applied to the Royal Conservatoire in November of 2015.
