Biography

Martin was born and raised in Aberdeen. He started to attend drama classes at the age of 6 and discovered his love for technical theatre at the age of 10. He studied for 6 years at St Machar Academy in Aberdeen and now lives in Glasgow to pursue a life in technical theatre at the RSAMD. He has produced shows such as 'Battle of the Bands' and 'Star Struck' to raise money for charity as well as working with his school and many amateur companies in Aberdeen. He has worked with the Writers Actors Collaboration, Serendipity and His Majesties Theatre designing the technical aspect of new plays. He has also volunteered at Aberdeen Arts Centre for the past 4 years giving him well-rounded experience in theatre including Front of House, Box Office and Admin work in addition to technical experience. Martin has attended courses across Scotland on Stage Management, Directing and other topics. He is a semi-professional magician and has had an interest in magic for over 14 years. He has played clarinet for 6 years and studied Advanced Higher Music. Martin is a keen web design enthusiast and runs his own web design business.
