This production included many hemp and CW flown masking and automated performer flying. Ellie was responsible for all programming on the automation desk, as well as any and all rigging above the stage, She also had to maintain a clean and organised fly floor.

For this production Ellie was responsible for assisting in managing and overseeing the work of crew members, as well as working with the set construction team to determine the most effective way to rig and fit up the set. She was also interim Head of Stage due to the HoS taking ill for a period of time, in this time she was responsible for issuing call times and calling a show stop.

• Problem solving and delegating to fix broken pully system.

About Me

Ellie is a second-year technical stage student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on the BA Production Technology and Management course which covers stagecraft, rigging, flying, automation etc. She has a strong skill set in rigging and flyman work and has had various opportunities to showcase them. Prior to RCS she spent two years as the venue technician for the Gryffe High school theatre as well as crew head for all ‘GHS Presents’ productions. She have a passion for theatre and live events and a desire to continue to further her knowledge and skill set with professional industry work as a stage technician specialising in flyman work and automation.
