New Athenaeum: Difference between revisions

All lanterns are supplied in working order with hook clamps, wing nuts and safety chains/ bonds. Please ensure that at the end of the production all lanterns are restored to the condition in which they were received and report any and all faults and damages to the Venues Team. All lanterns with the note below have a safety bond attached to the lantern and a bonded colour frame and/or barndoor, if these are found to be removed the lantern will be removed from service for the duration of the show.

VL1000tsd
The VL1000tsd (tungsten/shutter/dimmer) is a powerful 1000w profile with motorized zoom, full colour pallette, versatile rotatable shutters and gobos, internal electronic and mechanical dimming. Weighs 32kg. (this unit requires a 2 person lift for safety)

3 in stock. Contact Venues Team to ensure availability. Normally allocated to the New Athenaeum but can be available elsewhere if not required. Not advisable for use in the Chandler due to size and operational noise.

Hazers and Smoke Machines

Le Maitre MVS Hazer
The Multi Venue System (M.V.S) has a variable high output haze with whispers to 80cc/hr, twin variable high output haze projection fans and 90 degree electronically variable haze output direction. It features four channel DMX512, combined control functions and DMX receiver. The MVS has a higher power air pump and advanced fan motor control for wide range operation. It’s larger diameter hazing tube doubles the effective area and increases its working life span, and makes cleaning easier. The MVS is arc bonded, shielded and has a heavy duty thermo-couple sensor. It also has data storage capability.

Control

Control in this venue is normally the GrandMA (Fullsize). More details here

DMX goes directly to the chilli dimmers from the Ath control room. There is also a line to the gods (labelled "To Patchbays") which then goes to the promptside flys. There are 1u splitter units at each of these locations.

Houselights are on channels 221 through 224. If the desk is powered up + plugged in it will override the chilli system. Be aware of this!
