Manual Handling
PPE
• Steal toes caps at all times
• Hardhats & gloves depending on situation
Lifting
• Straight back
• Bent knees
• Lift from core
• Keeping load close to your body
• Check path is clear
• Watch horizon
• Countdown to lift when working in pairs
Personal limit
• Know your personal lifting limits and do not try to lift more than this
• Get help if necessary
• Know rough weight of what you are lifting
• Try to ensure weight is distributed equally
