All lanterns are supplied in working order with hook clamps, wing nuts and safety chains/ bonds. Please ensure that at the end of the production all lanterns are restored to the condition in which they were received
Moving Heads
VL1000tsd
The VL1000tsd (tungsten/shutter/dimmer) is a powerful 1000w profile with motorized zoom, full colour pallette, versatile rotatable shutters and gobos, internal electronic and mechanical dimming. Weighs 32kg. (this unit requires a 2 person lift for safety)
4 in stock. Contact Venues Team to ensure availability. Normally allocated to the New Athenaeum but can be available elsewhere if not required. Not advisable for use in the Chandler due to size and operational noise.
Profiles
5 degree Strand SL
A very narrow profile, not very useful for normal use, but really good for a special effect. A very bright unit. Much brighter at this angle than using a wider profile and an iris. Weighs 8kg. Stored in the Gods.

10 degree Strand SL
A wider angle than the 5 degree model. Care must be taken to work out the throw/angle when using lights as narrow as this. Weighs 6.8kg. Stored in the Gods.

19 degree Strand SL
One of Strands standard fixed beam profiles. A nice bright light with a good spread, good for one or two people in the beam depending on the throw. Works well as part of a wash. Weighs 6.8kg

26 degree Strand SL
Another fixed angle beam profile. Wider than the 19 degree above. Good for a wash or specials. Weighs 6.8kg

15/32 Degree Strand SL Zoom
The same lanten body as the fixed beam lights, however these lights now have two lenses which alows a zoom through the full range from 15 degrees to 32 degrees. Weighs 7kg

Selecon Pacific
Selecon pacific profiles are coolbeam lanterns, this enables a gobo to be printed on accetate and using the lower wattage lamp, this can be used for gobo projection without the cost of steel gobos. A wide angle zoom profile. Weighs 9.4kg

Below is a quick guide to callculating the throw of lanterns.
Control
Control in this venue is normally the GrandMA (Fullsize). More details here
DMX goes directly to the chilli dimmers from the Ath control room. There is also a line to the gods (labelled "To Patchbays") which then goes to the promtside flys. There are 1u splitter units at each of these locations.
Houselights are on channels 221 through 224. If the desk is powered up + plugged in it will override the chilli system. Be aware of this!
