Synopsis
Peter Barnes' brilliant but rarely-performed tragi-comedy was written in 1968, and Barnes pulls no punches in attacking the dull, venal, selfish and decaying ruling class of post-war Britain. Described as 'a comedy with tragic relief' by Peter O'Toole who was nominated for an Oscar for his role in 1972 film version, this play peers behind the closed doors of English aristocracy with a wonderfully black comic edge. Presented by final year Acting and Technical Production Arts students.
