Stage Suppliers

This is the list of all the suppliers, that we currently have on our PECOS ordering system, that we use for tools, ironmongery, building supplies, paint, truss, rigging, staging, drapes & pretty much everything else we require. This list is by no means exhaustive and there are maybe hundreds more suppliers on our system. These are, however, the ones specifically useful to our day to day working. If you are thinking of purchasing anything else it is a good idea to speak to a staff member to find out if they are on our system. You are also free to search for suppliers outside of it and we are happy to add other suppliers to this list, but that would require the starting of an account with that supplier first.

Just FX

As well as being our trainer in pyrotechnics, Just FX is also a good source for purchasing or hiring pyrotechnic effects, confetti & streamers and machine fluids.

Axminster Tools

Axminster supply a wide range of tools, machinery and fixings. They specialise in woodworking tools and machines.

Cromwell

Cromwell, supply a wide range of tools, machinery and fixings.

DIK Bearings

Suppliers of wheels and bearings.

Discount Trade Supplies

A bit like Screwfix and Toolstation. They are where the stage department buys its screws.

The Saw Centre

Suppliers of tools and machinery. Also specialise in tool servicing & repair and blade sharpening

Wurth

Building Supplies

Brodies Timber

Suppliers of specialist timbers. They also supply most of the 3x1 timber our workshop uses.

FH Brundle

FH Brundle supply steel to our workshops. Best to phone for a quote.

Meyer Timber

They supply our workshops with sheet material. Contact the Grangemouth branch for quotes.

Stockline Plastics

Glasgow based plastic supplier. All types of plastics from rods to sheets. They also cut to size.

South West Paints

Local paint supplier. Commonly used by our scenic team.

Trade Point Parkhead

Trade Point is part of B&Q and deals with their trade sales.

Barnshaws Steel Bending

Barnshaws Steel Bending. They bend steel.

Truss, Rigging, Staging & Scenery

A C Entertainment

AC supplied our Sixty82 Self Climbing Truss system, but also supply staging, hoists, controllers, lighting and PPE.

Black Light

More commonly used by our lighting team, Black Light also supply us with staging, truss, hoists (manual and powered) and cabling.

Northern Light Stage & Tech

Now a division of Stage Electrics, Northern Light operate out of Edinburgh. Long time industry supplier or truss (they are an official Prolyte supplier) staging and associated components. They also take on large installation projects.

Stage Hire Scotland

Suppliers and installers of staging, truss, hoists and event barriers. They also transport equipment and we often use them to move set between Wallace Studios and Renfrew Street. They can also supply crew.

Suppliers of lightweight deck, chairs and floors.

Tait International

The parent company of both Kinesys and Stage Technologies (who made our automated Big Tow 200 Winches and control), they are a giant in the entertainment world. Supplying automation products, staging, effects, advice, installations, you name it.

The Revolving Stage Company

A company that supplies revolving stages... and they also supply stage deck.

Reset Scenery

Run by Simon & Matt from our workshops, Re-Set Scenery is a non-profit organisation looking to cut down on the waste in our industry by recycling set and scenery. Flats and scenery can be hired from them, which can dramatically reduce the cost of building the items and the carbon footprint of your production.

Rope Assemblies

This is where we order our Wire rope drifts from. They supplied our lighting ladders and can also supply fibre rope and rigging accessories

Drapes

Harkness Screens

They supplied our BP Screen. They also supply various other types of projection surfaces.

J&C Joel

Joels supplied all of our newest masking, cyc and gauzes. They also supplied our Triple E Unibeam track and accessories. A leading supplier of theatrical drapes and track. Sample books are available in the office.

JD McDdougall

Leading supplier of scenic drapes.

Service Graphics

A printing company that dabbles in scenic cloths. Usually used for large printed cloths.
