Alisa Kalyanova was born in Russia. After graduating with a degree in Creative Writing in her hometown of Moscow, she moved to Reykjavik to study Visual Communication and Graphic Design at the Icelandic Academy of the Arts. Through her studies, she became interested in the dramatic arts and designing for performance. Her passion brought her to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she is now set to graduate in 2017 with a degree in Set and Costume Design. In the past she successfully designed for theatre and worked in the art department for Film and TV.
 
Previous Work at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland includes: Set and Costume Designer for productions "Macbeth", "Coriolanus", “The Caddie”, “My Shadow and Me: The Speech”; Production Design for short film “Greylag”, Art Department Assistant for the opera film “Uhte”.
Other works include:  Set and Costume Designer for “Playhouse Creatures” (Bloomsbury Studio Theatre, London), “Green Patch (24 hour play, Assembly Roxy, Edinburgh). Assistant Designer for Janis Hart on “Hansel and Gretel” (St. Magnus International Festival, Orkney) and James Cotterill on “English Eccentrics” and “Owen Wingrave” (Season 2016, British Youth Opera, London).

Alisa Kalyanova was born in Russia.
